Cyanoacrylate Adhesives
Not a traditional form of glue, cyanoacrylate (CA) is an acrylic resin which rapidly polymerizes, or cures, in the presence of moisture. It forms long, strong chains, joining the bonded surfaces together.
Most commonly known as “superglue®”, or “crazy glue®”, cyanoacrylates were invented by accident in the 1940’s when researchers were trying to invent a clear plastic. It wasn’t until the 1960’s that the product found practical applications.
A fast acting adhesive, it works especially well with porous materials or those that contain minute traces of moisture. A cyanoacrylate’s ability to rapidly set and form relatively strong, durable bonds found it uses within a wide range of applications. It has found favor in Wood Bonding and Finishing, Rubber Bonding, Plastic Bonding, Electronics, Medical and Automotive applications.
With different formulations for different applications, we're confident we have the right cyanoacrylate for your job.
