Watch those best if used by dates. Believe it or not adhesives do have best if used by dates just like food or other consumables. Some adhesives began to lose their performance characteristics over time. To make sure you are getting the most out of your adhesives, you need to use them before the best if used by date. We recommend to our customers and practice in our warehouse the FIFO (First In First Out) inventory rotation method. Encourage your team to use the FIFO method for your adhesives. This way you will never be caught off guard with a past best if used by date.

It is winter again.  Even here in Georgia, we sometimes have freezing temperatures to deal with.  Remember, your waterbased adhesives are susceptible to freezing.  To ensure that your waterbased adhesives are protected, keep it stored at the temperature suggested by the manufacturer.  You can usually find this on the Technical Data Sheet or MSDS.  We as a distributor take the temperatures into consideration when we ship waterbased adhesives in the winter.  Sometimes we have to hold off shipping to protect the product.  Please take this into consideration the next time you will to order.  Give yourself some extra lead time if possible.
